(*Residents are any person whose legal address is located within the City of Tampa City limits. Not all Tampa addresses are within the City limits. Proof of residency is required and will be verified at the time of registration.)

How Do I Register?

Stop by in person to the community center location of your choice.  Be sure to bring two forms of identification if your a resident.  Approved documentation includes:

  • Current City of Tampa Utility Bill, which includes residential garbage charges;

  • Phone, gas, or electric bill,

  • Voter registration card,

  • Bank statement, government check, pay check, and/or official government document that contains the pre-printed name and City of Tampa address of the participant.

  • Proof that you reside at the address such as a Florida Driver’s License or Florida Identification Card.

  • Complete the Proof of Residency Form

  • Complete the Registration Forms

Rec Cards

A Rec Card is required to participate in all programs and activities offered by the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department, including youth sports. Additionally, the Rec Card entitles the holder to use of open gym, fitness rooms and computer lab at community centers. Materials and supplies, memberships, camps, clinics, lessons, classes, and/or instructor-led programs are not included.

How Much Does a Rec Card Cost?

A family is defined as a maximum of two adults and dependent children under 18 years old residing in same household.

Family $50.00/year $450.00/year
Single Day Guest Pass $10.00/day

Taxes paid by City of Tampa residents and property owners help pay the cost of maintenance and operations of city facilities. Non-resident fees help share these costs.
